How to find the Meraki port of the computer you’re replacing and requesting. Please email me the following information ([email protected])

BEFORE OLD COMPUTER IS REMOVED:

  • Computer Name
  • Computer IP
  • Meraki Switch port of the old computer.
  • New computer name, IP, and MAC Address.

This will allow for me to make the adjustment much faster. Along with this here is an easy way to find which port you’re looking for:

·         You will want to be in the switching category first. You can get there by selecting from left side menu under “Network”

·         From here you will go to the “Network Wide” tab on the left hand menu. Select Clients

·         From the Client menu you can adjust your filters at the wrench on the right side:

  • Select the following filters. “Port” and “Connected to” being the important ones. This will show which port and switch the current computer is connected too.

If you’re still unable to find the device please see me as Meraki can sometimes be a challenge in itself. I trying to update the port information monthly to try and make Meraki 100% accurate but this changes daily. This will help me stay on top of keeping it accurate.
